"Having received news of the Athenian-led Greek revolt, Antipater sought assistance from Krateros and Philotas in Asia Minor - Krateros was in Cilicia with some 10,000 Makedonian veterans and Philotas had been assigned Phrygia as his satrapy. However, with the rebellion gathering in strength, Antipater decided he couldn't wait for reinforcements and so marched southwards into Thessaly hoping to join forces with the pro-Makedonian Boiotian Greeks. But the Boiotians were defeated at Plataea, the Thessalians switched sides and the Greeks under Leosthenes had secured the passes at Thermopylae. The outnumbered Makedonians were then defeated near Thermopylae and subsequently besieged in Lamia. (24 turns, 15,000pts a side)"
