"Antiochus Soter was caught off-guard by the Galatian invasion and in a hurry assembled a small but professional force of skirmishers, light armed troops and phalangites plus a small number of elephants. When Antiochus faced the Galatians, he realised what a daunting task faced him in stopping the enormous horde of barbarians. The Galatians drew up in a solid rank of infantry at the centre with steel clad warriors to the front and supported by heavy armed type men behind. Behind these came lighter troops and ready to burst forth from the centre were many scythed chariots. On the wings of the Galatian army were thousands of heavy cavalry. Can you as Antiochus defeat the barbarian horde by tactical use of the elephant? - a creature the Galatians and their horses had never before encountered."
