The scenario provides the opportunity for woodland combat, open tank vs tank combat and a river crossing. The river must be crossed to reach the main objective. This combination of terrain makes for some interesting tactical possibilities. I enjoyed the scenario which was mostly an infantry fight with a few tanks.

Absolutely pro-allied scenario. Too restricted setup zone for Germans and excessively strong artillery support at allies.

Felt totally imbalanced towards the Russians to me. With un opposed direct tank fire into my objective positions and lots of enemy artillery I was left with a handful of men within 10 turns with no AT capability and just rifles. I then had to wait nearly 40 turns before some reinforcements dribbled in that were then picked off by the Reds with relative ease and using their heavy arty.

I enjoyed the objective of eliminating the fuel trucks. That was interesting. And who wouldn't like a clash between Tigers and T-34/85s? That was fun. Thanks!

A little more freedom placing initial anti armor might balance the scenario a bit.

The Russians have manpower and artillery. The Germans have tanks and halftracks. Both sides have to be careful.

I'm not very good, but this seemed pretty heavily tilted for the Russians.

The soviets have the upper hand in this scenario, i think, but it can still be won by the german player with a bit of luck and a lot of careful planning.

I think the Soviets have a potential advantage if they can avoid losing their tanks to mines. IMO the key is to use the tanks to take out as much of the German defenses as possible, especially the bunkers and have the infantry do as little as possible. Sov artillery is probably too strong but the heavy stuff isn't available immediately and getting the FO to a useful position could be risky. German reinforcements are powerful but would be more influential if they arrived a bit earlier.
