Not much fun H2H ... Nothing for Axis player to do really.

If you sign up for SOM matches they are randomly assigned and count as a on-ladder game per the guidelines. Please don't abandon your matches.

The scenario is an excellent example of how superior German small arms were to Commonwealth small arms, particularly the MG42 and MP40. Add to that the need to cross 150+ meters of open terrain, uphill with incoming enfilade fire using green/regular troops against veterans and the end result is fairly predictable unless some lucky mortar rounds kill a bunch of German defenders. Definitely not recommended for H2H.

Though I think the scenario is technically "well balanced," I also think it is unstable in that the forces involved are so small that a minor mistake by one side is likely to lead to rapid defeat without a real possibility of recovery. Not too satisfying.
