Certainly a difficult task for the Allies to attack entrenched positions covered by so many automatic weapons. Ambushes can be deadly. At the same time, the Axis player is hard pressed to counter a number of flanks.

Very challenging for the allies. Interesting map and an excellent infantry fight.

An enjoyable scenario. But very large (2 hours I think). I just looked at my game files and this took us over 1 year to complete by PBEM. Wow.

One qualm is where US forces start up and show up as reinforcements on the map. Pretty far out there (map is quite large) and so a lot of time is spent just walking into position. A large part of my last group of reinforcements became exhausted simply walking in the woods to get to a jump off point (and would inexplicably decide, that being exhausted, the best way to conserve strength, would be to crawl to the next waypoint!!).

Thought the amount of armor and artillery available to the US forces was adequate for the job.

Recommended.
