Bois de Baugin - Combat Mission: Battle For Normandy

Very tough map to conduct offensive operations.

This was really not a very enjoyable battle at all for either of us. The heavy emphasis on objective VPs essentially forced deployment on top of specific woods objectives for the axis while the only way to take the objectives was with an infantry assault. There was little room for manoeuvre or trying something unique. We ended up stopping the game and calling a ceasefire.

A very boring scenario. Stonecutter's comments apply for me, and we decided to ceasefire this one about 1/3 into the battle. Too many limitations for my liking
