With four Russian armies encircled in the Bialystok-Minsk Pocket, Guderian's
18.Panzer Division, lead by the 18. Panzer Regiment have just finished a stiff fight against a determined group of Russian Cadets near Borisov. The 18.Regiment does form a bridgehead over the Berezina River, and expanding it. The Smolensk-Moscow highway is within reach of the Germans. Stalin and the High Command saw the threat to Smolensk and decided to buy time. Yeremenko was given the task, on 1 July he committed his only ready reserve: the 1.Moscow Motorized Division, under Major General I.G. Kreyzer. A crack unit, the pride of STAVKA. Equipped with the T-34 and KV II tanks, the division moved out to meet and defeat the 18.Panzer Division, the spearhead of Guderian's 2.Panzer Group.
On the morning of 2 July, German air reconnaissance reports a formation moving towards the Borisov Bridgehead with over 100 tanks!
On 3 July, forward elements of the 18. Division have an intense battle with the 1.Moscow Rifle Division. Reports come in that the Russian tanks are superior to anything the Germans have, some anti tank gun crews deserted their positions. The Russian continue their advance... As the sun began to set, Russian tanks supported by infantry breaks through the German Front, 9.5 kilometers east of the Borisov Bridgehead.

A good scenario, I had some issues with the amount of reinforcements comming into play in one area, but it did not take away from the enjoyment of the game. I think that my opponent had similar cercumstances. In this way it was even.
