[Oued Fodda, Algeria]:[H2H][HIS][CSL]: A routine duty of the French in Algeria was patrolling the major roadways during the day. While typically uneventful, ambushes of varying degrees were common as the war progressed. One such ambush occurred as a company from the 4th Motorized Infantry Division was patrolling in the El Attaf region. While the patrol itself resulted in little, the return trip back to Chlef airbase found the company under attack by a well-organized ambush by FLN units in the Oued Fodda area. [ALL][NONE][1.00]

The French have a tough time in this one. The Algerian's have the perfect ambush set up. Also using civilians as human shields while they snipe at the French soldiers from the local's houses. The Insurgents are tough to beat in this one. A good lesson in modern insurgent warfare tactics in the Mid-East.
It was an interesting fight with the battle swinging back and forth over one of the objective hexes.
Algerian quality is not the best but the French have some tricky terrain to get through and not too many troops to do it with
