[Deservoir, Egypt]: [H2H][HIS][CSL]: Israeli paratroopers, from the 243rd Airbourne Brigade crossed the Suez Canal during the early morning hours October 16th and established a small bridgehead near Deservoir. Meeting little resistance, they began expanding to the north the following day while the Battle of Chinese Farm was in full swing. As the brigade advanced north, resistance increased from a hodgepodge of units; mechanized infantry, artillery, and commandos.
