Be careful when playing this scenario as the VP totals are set for the wrong sides. Side A is the IDF but the point totals, up to about 600, I believe, for a major victory are set for Side B. Even if the Egyptian player destroys every IDF unit with minimal losses they cannot get a win as it is up to Side A to exit units off the map and get the big point totals. Recommended way to play is that the point totals are for Side A, except when Side A gets points the totals go negative so, for example, -600 VPs would be a major Side A win.
