East of Carentan, June 14th 1944: In this hypothetical battle, the German counterattack on Carentan on June 13th is assumed to have succeeded and the important crossroads has fallen into the hands of the Germans, once again blocking communications between the Utah and Omaha bridgeheads. Carentan must be cleared by the US forces to enable the advance from Utah to continue, and provide security to the flanks for both bridgeheads by securing their junction. [Size, medium, 15 turns]. Play either side or HTH.

If the German player is skilled in retreat, the result of the game is mainly settled by if the German manage to blow the bridges and then if the Americans can build their own. Some interesting other challenges here and opportunities, but if competitive of mind the bridging is the main thing predicting the result.

Interesting and fun, but a lot of luck involved in blowing and building of bridges that are the major deciding factor of the fight.

The scenario needs some tweaks to improve the play.
