Brettevillette, South West of Caen, June 28th 1944: The small hamlet of Brettevillette on the Rauray Spur was not occupied. Accordingly, the Tyneside Scottish, with support from the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards and the Royal Artillery, advanced south to occupy it. They ran into the advancing left flank of Kampfgruppe Weidinger made up of SS Panzergrenadires of I. Deutschland Regiment supported by a Panther company. A classic meeting engagement ensued with both sides taking significant casualties.

Nice quick scenario, but very short at just six turns.

For Allies to win they have to capture the VH and to that they have to use their armor--which gives the Germans the chance to win the game--inflicting losses on allied armor with their panthers. i thought it was a very well designed scenario. i barely lost. My opponent didn't get rattled by allied arty and kept the pressure on me throughout. Doug Miller was better and won the scenario.

Thanks,
Al

Good meeting engagement. Whoever gets to the VP hex first without losing too many tanks or infantry wins.

Allies moving first gives them a chance to grab the VP hex and hold it so Germans have task of taking it back or causing excess casualties on the Allies.

The battlefield is too constrained for maneuver and strategy.

Nice little balanced scenario to kick off a tournament. It's a little short, but that's what makes it so tense, I guess.

A quick and fast moving little battle.

Having played both sides now, I enjoy this scenario. It is very slightly tilted towards the Axis but is winnable as Allies.
Kind Regards,

Fun scenario but difficult for British player to get anything other than a draw, while German player just has to capture the objective hex to get a win

Probably not really intended to be a H2H scenario, though it does ok. Scoring leans a bit toward the Axis in terms of requiring the Brits to score a lot of points for the win, while the Germans really just need to grab the objective.

good fun tense little battle. The B rating for the ss inf is telling once they close with the Brits.

a bit pro axis I think. Smaller scenarios are always difficult to balance as a small bit of bad luck can swing things quickly.

This seems more balanced for solo play as the Allies than for H2H. It's a fun short scenario, but very difficult to do better than a draw as the Allied player.

Still think it's tilted towards to the Axis.

Difficult to do better than a draw as the Allied player. Not sure this is really designed for H2H play.

There's no room for error as the German player. Time is not on your side.
