INSTALLATION

Unzip this file, with Folder Names on, to the Kharkov'42 folder where you installed the game. It contains all unit art needed for the scenario, much of which came with the original game files, so you do not need to overwrite these, as they may overwrite files that you prefer.

BACKGROUND

This scenario is part of a series I am working on representing the battles around Kharkov during February and March, 1943, consisting of portions of the Soviet Operations Star and Gallop, and the German counterattack directed by Manstein. A number of sources were used for these scenarios, listed below. However, there is a large amount of information that I could not determine. If you wish to contribute any information for updating the scenarios in this package, please e-mail me at rbancroft@att.net. Further scenarios will be added as they are completed.

SCENARIO LIST

Krasnoarmeyskoye.scn - a 90 turn scenario representing the initial Soviet thrust to Krasnoarmeyskoye and the German attempts to retake this vital town on the main rail line to the German units located to the east.

KrasnoarmeyskoyeShort.scn - a 45 turn scenario representing the same action as in Krasnoarmeyskoye.scn. However, it ends after 5 days, giving the German side less time to retake territory.

KrasnoarmeyskoyeCounter.scn - a 26 turn scenario covering the end of the German counterattacks at Krasnoarmeyskoye, where they finally succeeded in destroying the Soviet tank corps that had penetrated into the area.
