I was shocked by the German success in this one. My opponent surrendered after 3 days of hard fighting saying I had virtually annihilated the French 3rd and 4th Armies, and had placed the 5th in a position to lose 40% of it's strength in an encirclement. It was an amazing re-introduction to F14.
The moral of this story was if you want to give yourself the best chance as the Germans drive really hard from the off against the French 2nd, 3rd and 4th Armies and keep driving hard, cutting off distressed French Divisions and preventing them from re forming a line.
Paul did this expertly and concurrent pressure on the 5th Army west of Namur doomed it as German troops forced the rivers south of Namur under heavy fire and were about to cut off most of 5th Army.
