I decided to abandon the three objectives on the eastern bank of the Bobr and concentrate the French forces (Gerard's and Rochefoucauld's divisions) against the Russians in the South. Although in the end they managed to retire behind the river, their heavy losses in cavalry and the control of the west bank objectives granted the French a major victory.
