The Prussians took the town. French reinforcements arrived and it became something of a slug fest. The French suffered a large number of routs due to poor quality troops. A major victory for the Prussians but only by a few points. Rather than defending the objective hexes, maybe a better strategy for the French would be to retreat to the heights just below.
