			<description><![CDATA[I have now played Ragnar's 'Black sea black death' scenario twice, from both sides, and can honestly attest that this scenario is ready for the big time. (pending Ragnar's final adjustments)<br />

Centering on the Black Sea coast around Novorossiysk shortly after the debacle at Stalingrad,<br />
the scenario depicts Stalin's latest attempt to destroy Wehrmacht forces before Kerch. <br />
<br />
Airborne landings, sea-born landings, tanks, planes, boats, railroad units, rockets, partisans, and plentiful Axis minor troops, this scenario has it all!<br />

I work on a new (more balanced) version of the outstanding scenario "Death on the black sea" (Operation Gory-Morsky) in early 1943 on the coast on the Taman Peninsular.<br />
The original seems to base on the board game "Black sea black death"<br />

Maybe someone still owns this and can provide in the manuel.<br />

Infomation about the OOB in books and internet are quite rare and confusing so far.<br />
<br />
Can anyone provide me information here please?<br />

I've figured out some Divisions/Brigades but not all sub units<br />
<br />
Axis:<br />
5th Corps (17th Army)<br />
<br />
73. ID (entire)<br />
Parts of the following:<br />
101st  Jäger Div. <br />
198th  ID<br />

125th ID<br />
381th ID<br />
-&gt; it's pretty unclear which parts<br />

several battles against the Bulgarian Army, and Police. This<br />
day however, they will fight the final battle for survival against<br />
a vastly numerically superior force. In reality, the detachment<br />
lost 2/3rds of it's fighting force. The resistance movement in<br />
the occupied lands was a constant strain on the Germans and Bulgarians,<br />
many actions were taken against the invaders, and resistance<br />
groups popped up all over. This is the story of just one of them.<br />
Not much is recorded of this event, so it is in fact an historically-based<br />

One...do the players enjoy it/is it worth it or will they say no thanks because everyone hates it?<br />
I know night rules can be a challenge...not sure if it's gotten better or worse with the latest patches.<br />
<br />
Two...has anyone come up with a convention as to it's usage?<br />
<br />
Let's say I have a 60 turn monster scenario.<br />

Lets assume the 9th dimensional algorithm which describes time in the CS universe defines a turn as 20 minutes.  Assuming we're looking at 12 hours of daylight, and we start killing each other at the crack of dawn, this means approximately 36 turns till darkness falls?<br />
<br />
Really just looking for advice here guys...no strong feelings either way...<br />
Primarily what I really want to know from you is do the players like it or not?<br />
<br />

Based on play testers' feedback (Round #1 Testing) and also the information I am gathering from my test games with Ashley, I propose the following changes for version 1.1. <br />

Russians<br />
 <br />
* Move the motorized infantry regiment (Currently on the road near the ​Kawamata Bridge) approximately 12 hexes west to where the dirt road changes to a path. (This will place the regiment closer to the 2x 25VP and 1x 50VP and provide the Allies with opportunities for defending / counter attacking) Also, I am struggling with whether I should start this motorized regiment mounted or unloaded? Maybe have the infantry dismounted and the artillery still limbered?<br />
<br />
* Move the armored car battalion (Currently starts near the 100VP exit hex) to approximately 6 hexes away from the southern 50VP on the dirt road. (This will provide opportunities for the armored car battalion to either flank or directly help defend the 50VP.)<br />
<br />
* Increase the morale for all Russian units by 1.<br />
<br />
Japanese<br />
<br />
* No proposed changes.<br />
<br />
Scenario<br />
<br />
* Change night length from 5 to 3 turns. Visibility would be the following: Turns 1-3 (3) / turns 4-7 (5) / turns 8-20 (7) Simulates dawn breaking on the battlefield.<br />

Based on play testers' feedback (Round #1 Testing) and also the information I am gathering from my test games with Ashley, I propose the following changes for version 1.1. <br />
<br />
Russians<br />
 <br />
* Move the motorized infantry regiment (Currently on the road near the ​Kawamata Bridge) approximately 12 hexes west to where the dirt road changes to a path. (This will place the regiment closer to the 2x 25VP and 1x 50VP and provide the Allies with opportunities for defending / counter attacking) Also, I am struggling with whether I should start this motorized regiment mounted or unloaded? Maybe have the infantry dismounted and the artillery still limbered?<br />
<br />
* Move the armored car battalion (Currently starts near the 100VP exit hex) to approximately 6 hexes away from the southern 50VP on the dirt road. (This will provide opportunities for the armored car battalion to either flank or directly help defend the 50VP.)<br />
<br />
* Increase the morale for all Russian units by 1.<br />
<br />
Japanese<br />
<br />
* No proposed changes.<br />
<br />
Scenario<br />
<br />
* Change night length from 5 to 3 turns. Visibility would be the following: Turns 1-3 (3) / turns 4-7 (5) / turns 8-20 (7) Simulates dawn breaking on the battlefield.<br />

My East Front<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b"> "Showdown at Sujewo"</span> has gone through two (2) revisions and a third (hopefully final?) version is being made ready now.<br />

Here are my changes for version 1.2 based on test player feedback and my ideas too:<br />

<span style="text-decoration: underline;" class="mycode_u"><span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">"Showdown at Sujewo" (Version 1.2)</span></span><br />
<br />
1. - Adjust victory levels upwards. Currently 50 / 100 / 200 / 350 <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">to</span> 100 / 150 / 300 / 450<br />
2. - Add trucks to Russian OOB. Assign trucks to the mortar platoons.<br />
3. - Add 2x Rifle Companies (truck mounted) to Russian OOB as reinforcements. Enter on Turn #5.<br />
4. - Add lend-lease halftracks (company) to Russian OOB.<br />
5. - Add trucks to anti-tank rifle company<br />
6. - Add 57mm anti-tank gun to Regimental HQ set-up hex.<br />
7. - Adjust Russian scout company entry turn from Turn #5 to Turn #1.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">My reasons:</span><br />
<br />
1. Still too easy for Germans to achieve victory without taking any victory hexes.<br />
2. Russians need some mobility in order to reposition mortar units and get these units back into action quickly once Axis overrun initial setup positions.<br />
3. Russians are in desperate need of more infantry, to held replace losses from Axis attacks and form other defensive lines - especially along the Sujewo ridges.<br />
4. Add some off-road capable transport for engineer &amp; rifle reinforcements (near Regimental HQ set-up hex)<br />
5. Add mobility to anti-tank rifle company.<br />
6. Protection for Regimental HQ + (AT gun w/ halftrack transport) may be used as reinforcement.<br />
7. Help shore up initial Russian defenses with scout company.]]></description>
