I have tried to mod Campaign Series West Front Game by making my own platoon oob edit.

I am running into a problem.
Initially when I modified a single platoon.oob the game would load the map up, get to screen where Ai is chosen then exit to desktop once i press next.

I found an article here,
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3469942
that describes -X NoEncryption Option .
I thought I would link the main.pdt explained thread,
this is very handy if you want to change the values in the main.pdt ,to make unit density less for example ,or make direct fire more deadly and lots of other interesting and fun changes.

I thought I would add a screenshot to illustrate how to make use of this -X shortcut modification. You need to make a shortcut for the game in question ,West Front , East Front ,Rising Sun. Look to my pic to know which .exe you make a shortcut of and where to place the " -X". Note there is a space before the - sign.
My background pic is only for good looks ,you want to look at the 3 little windows and what is written there ,note where I have placed " -X". Thought maybe a picture might help other users.
This allows you to use modified pdts and oobs basically. Then to start a modified game you click on your modified shortcut.

I was curious if any 2D Counter Mods are available in particular ? Have enjoyed alternating 2D Counter Art in some of my other games where I could.

I visited Matrix Forum and found the Unit Pictures Mod - yet to try that but downloaded it. Looks interesting.

Just Bought game and only just trying it out but I wanted to know if there was extra/alternative content I can use in my game.

Edit , I started making my own amateur Mods and have created a group of them for users to try.
Download available at Matrix Forum,

I have just made two Eastfront scenarios using the editor. Unfortunately, I have hit a big problem in setting the number of turns. When the dialog box comes up, the default value is 30, written thus: 1-30(d) This is not the default value of 10 mentioned in the manual, but It shouldn't have been a problem. I entered a lower value as follows: 1-16(d) When I hit the OK button, a box popped up with the following. In the top left corner was written 'invalid input' In the centre was a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. Next to that was the message 'invalid turn value(s)

I have tried entering different figures, via the main keyboard and the numbers keypad. I have even experimented with upper and lower case and the space bar but nothing has worked. The only number the editor will accept is the original figure of 30.

Can anybody help?

Thanks in advance,

Hi all,

Here is a textured 3D terrain mod, to go along with the 2d mod earlier. It is set up for JSGME, so unzip the file into your mods folder of John Tillers Campaign Series, and then enable using the swapper. It adds more texture to the open terrain, to give one more of a feel for undulating open ground, rather than a bowling green. In the desert, I accentuated the scrub a bit more, and toned down the day glo cactus, would still like to do them a bit more, but running out of time to spend on this, gotta get back to graphics-making! For now, this is for WF only, and only for the zoomed in 3D mode, so the other two remain unchanged. Hope you like it!
