I'm the son of a Pacific war veteran and love Rising Sun.

I would love to play two scenarios by Jeepster777. Titles: The Capture of Cape Torokino and Twice Driven Off. Both deal with the invasion of Bougainville.

Both are listed Rising Sun customs scenarios. Neither has a download link. I have twice e-mailed Jeepster himself and not received an answer.

Does anyone out there have a link to either scenario?

Thanks!

Hi, I'm totally new here. Because the computer AI is an idiot I design lots of big fictitious scenarios with Russian armor, engineers, artillery, rockets and aircraft trying to break thru dug in and fortified German positions. I make it hard, but winnable. The Germans usually have plenty of their own artillery, antitank guns, a few aircraft and some mechanized forces arriving at random as reinforcements, but most of the units are "frozen".

When playing the Germans, the Russian AI is even more inept on attack. So I'm looking for players to take the Russian hordes and try to break thru my defence. I will even supply periodic "reconnaissance" in the form of maps showing the general disposition of enemy forces as you progress deeper into enemy held territory.

I'm retired with loads of time on my hands, so I'm looking for active players, but I'm open to anyone who wishes to give this battle a try. Contact me and I will get you started on Operation Port Authority.

I promise it will be fun!

I am adding 2 more maps from the first "Intelligence Report" on the German initial deployment.

At first sorry for my bad englisch! I come from germany and i only learnd it at school.

I play this game maybe for 10 years. I start to play this kind of game by using the panzer general series.
Now i try to connect some parts of both games.
I designed a campaign based on the german way of war.
Here are some typical ideas:
1) Every player buys his own troops. ( windows excel file)
2) After solving a szenario you gets new prestige, which you can investe in your troops.
3) Your losses will be considerd.
4) Every map has a reinforcement point. If the strength of your troops is low, you can raise it up again at this point.
5) eyery unit has the strength 6.
6) The part of the allies should be taken from me or another human player.

Is here anybody, who wants to try this way and play against me?

This multi-day, 40 turn scenario has only been played twice to date, once resulting in a major axis victory, and once a draw between myself and Panzerjaeger who is a regular opponent and my equal in skill level.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. We both found it well balanced, but with only the two games played, hard to know for sure. Day/night instruction are included in the download, as well as a well-written scenario description. Rod Coles, the designer, even includes recommended reading. Note: extreme assault on is recommended.

Hello all,

I have been working on the maps for Panzer Grenadier's "1940: Fall of France" title. Unlike the maps in Battle for Normandy, this title uses geomorphic maps. There are a total of 50 scenarios so that means a total of 50 different map configurations. As soon as I finish up the maps I will begin working on the Orgs and then the actual scenarios. Most of the scenarios in FOF are regimental or smaller in size but there are several that are on the brigade level. Nothing larger than that but I feel that once these scenarios are converted that they will be a challenge for anyone that wishes to play them.

I will definitely need some people to test these scenarios for me. So, if you are interested, once I am finished, let me know.

Take care all.

Hello All. Most of you have seen my posts on the Matrix Game JTCS forums stating that I will begin working on converting the scenarios found in Avalanche Press' 'Panzergrenadier' game system. I just unearthed the box that was buried in one of our closets. I packed it away because I could never find anyone interested in playing a conventional board war-game. After considering the game again, I decided to convert the scenarios for all of you to enjoy. I will NOT be converting these scenarios verbatim (not even the titles of each scenario) as I really don't want to be sued by AP. I will be getting the JTCS game early next month and I will begin working on the conversions shortly thereafter. What type of scenarios (theater, size, etc) would you like to see most? Chris.

I would like to nominate The Phony Offensive. The only scenario from the phony war, I believe, and in addition to that - great fun! Heavy, heavy fighting in an interesting little map.

Lots of opportunities to hone your EA skills as well, should you go for that, as the unit density at times allows for various tactics in taking the objective hexes.

The statistics so far would seem to indicate a slight French bias, but I believe this has what it takes to swing both ways. My game against Larry ended in a draw that I assume both sides were happy to take.

[Version 1.1]Ludweiler-Arndt, Germany: With the beginning of the German assault on Poland, on September 1st, the treaties of mutual assistance between Poland, England and France came into effect with a reality the two western European powers were not prepared for. On September 3rd, a British ultimatum to the Germans expired and war was declared between England and Germany, shortly after, at 1700 hrs the same day, the French, too, declared war. What to do to assist Poland? There was not much the Allied powers could do, Poland was basically isolated from them and by the 3rd the German attacks were already showing a dangerous ability to slice up organized Polish resistance. Maybe the western allies would be handed a fait accompli by a rapid defeat of Poland. Regardless, on September 7th, France began the promised offensive against the western border of Germany. With no workable offensive plans against Germany, the only goal was to draw German troops from the Polish frontier. It was planned as an offensive anyway. Tentative, half-hearted, French patrol action began in the Saar region, probing against the deceptively weak German lines. After making very little progress on the 7th, on the 8th, with the weather breaking down, the French offensive became nothing more than a reconnaissance in force. In the Saar region, east of the French Thionville section of the Maginot Line, a recon group, from French 2nd Army, cautiously advanced toward the Saar River where a German static regiment waited to defend the Reich border. The offensive "started out slow and kind of fizzled out altogether" and by the 17th, the French comic tragedy had petered out and the Phony War, the Sitzkrieg, had begun.

Playing blind, relying on the information, I truly played the part of an over confident Wehrmacht officer. Nothing comic about them French forces coming your way!

Hello All,

This is a fun little scenario with an interesting setting. It only has 8 reported matches. I have played it from each side and I find it to be very balanced and fun.

Both sides have options on how they wish to tackle this tricky scenario.

Give it a try, I think you will be entertained.

Thanx!
It is full of action. If you're looking for an intense fight under 20 turns, this one is really fun.
