Hi I'm new and havnt read all the posts and everything, but I saw this section "Main Event" and instantly thought how good it would be If at the end of a game the turns that show the movie-action were distributed with passwords for them? So you could load turn1 press play and when over load turn2 and play the-movie, so on...
Wouldnt that be a good AAR? dont know if youve all done this before?

Welcome back, fight fans! It's been a while and I for one am ready for another play-by-play battle! This time we have Ratzki and Joonny, two strong supporters of our club who also know their way around a battlefield.

Ratzki is 44-25-15 here at the Blitz. He's a very smart player and you have to have sound strategy to beat him, and sometimes you still lose!
Joonny is 62-54-22 here at the Blitz. He is also a tough player and very learned in the mechanics of the game. Neither of these commanders have met on the battlefield so far, according to their player stats.

This battle will take place in CMBB this time, at a sleepy fishing town somewhere in the East.

Both players are to pick a number between 1-50 and send it to me - the winner gets to choose the side! Stay tuned for a look at the parameters and map....

Yes fight fans - believe it! These two grizzled warriors from what some call the "glory days" of the Blitz CM forum have agreed to square off against each other and let their CMAK guns do the talking! The North African desert will be hot but not as hot as this rivalry. Both commanders admit they are a bit rusty from lack of playing, but nothing knocks the rust off like a showdown. Stay tuned for further details!

The combatants have stepped forward and we are off with the next installment of theBlitz's Main Event. I think we have found two of the most evenly matched players in the club, M1A1 and jawsconan. M1A1 has played a little more then twice as many games as jawsconan has, but if you double jawsconan's stats the win/loss records would almost be a mirror image. Hopefully this will be a good game.
This will be a CMBB game played in Oct. 1942. The weather is cold with a strong wind blowing ESE. The ground is hard, the time is dusk. This should muffle the sounds of armour a bit and shorten the LOS a little. I will be posting the map for D/L a little later.
Now as has been done on every Main Event, who do you think will carry the day in thsi one, and by how much?

Welcome back, fight fans! Owl decided to run rather than play me in a battle of ELO leaders (LOL) - no, seriously - he said he would like to play, but he will be traveling abroad for the next three months - so that battle will have to be postponed until later.

But for the present we are excited to have two available vicious competitors in Arrow and Moondog(FGM). This battle will be fought in Italy in 1944, and these guys both love to play CMAK. It would be accurate to call each of them a CMAK specialist. When either of them sends out a CMAK setup, think twice about accepting it unless you don't mind losing, because they are good at it - real good!

Here are the tentative parameters:

3000 point CMAK meeting engagement
September of '44
Italy
Force mix: combined arms
Nationality: unrestricted
Quality: unrestricted
Rarity: on
Imported map
Midday
Cool
Clear
Breeze
33+ turns

The biggest difference from the first two battles is the combined arms setting. We won't see any tank parades this time! Commanders will need a balanced strategy.

To add some spice I am planning to give each player one elite armored unit with their name put on it. I plan to give the Axis player an Elite Panther IVG Late, and the Allies an Elite M4A3(76) W Sherman, loaded up with tungsten. The Panther has frequent armor flaws in front plating and costs more to lose. Seemed like a fairly even matchup - as close as I could get.

If agreeable, then each player will send me a number between 1-20 and the one who picks closest to my number will get to pick their side.

The map for this contest is very good - made especially for the Main Event by Ratzki. The arena is already filling up for this one.

Greetings again fight fans! Our first main event matched up our two men at the top of the default view ladder - Walkure and Herroberst. Thanks to them for a great and hard fought battle.

Next we have a battle between win percentage leaders. These two guys win - and win a lot. In fact, they have won more than any veteran player who has reported 100+ games, as we can see here with a screenshot of our ladder as it stands today:

Lord Bane (George Scott) is from the USA - as we know from his posts he likes to boast of his formidable CM skills, but he rarely gets proved wrong with his .825 win record.

Matteponk (Mats Ek) hails from Sweden. He hardly posts on the forums and doesn't say much. But his .800 win record speaks for itself. Don't let his comparative lack of games reported fool you - he has been active playing in various tournaments at FGM and has no rust to brush off.

Pending their approval, as cold weather approaches I have set the battle somewhere in the Polish winterland, where our commanders will be forced to fight not only each other, but the visibility, the snow, and the biting cold. It's a still dawn in January of 1945. The gently falling flakes make a stark contrast to the violence that is to come.

A shot from above. The map is smaller than last game, but the combination of falling snow and early morning light have reduced visibility in the sleepy town to 252 meters. The Germans will not be able to take advantage of their long range guns, but the lack of summer cover means the Russian SMG squads won't be firing as closely or as effectively either.

The main 300 point flag sits on the church at town center. All around the church long deceased Poles are sleeping below the tombstones. Soon Russians and Germans will be falling and dying over them.

The night before, women light candles in the church - they have just endured a days bombardment and fires are still burning in parts of town. Will there be peace on earth by Springtime? They can pray.

Interestingly, these two ruthless killers have never played each other - no game between them was ever reported. So we don't know who is better - yet....

All right ladies and gents - get ready for something exciting! Our current top gun on the all-time ladder, Walkure, has agreed to fight his nearest and most threatening rival, Herroberst, the number 2 man on the ladder, right here in front of us all! Yes - for the first time ever, they have agreed to give me their passwords and CC every turn to me. I will be acting the role of a play-by-play announcer, with accompanying screenshots and commentary. Neither of these grizzled CM veterans will be permitted to view this thread until the battle is over, although I will be printing their banter for all to see!

These two fierce rivals have played each other four times in the past - each has won two. Who will walk away with the tiebreaker? Bonus points will be awarded to sweeten the deal.

I have mailed each the following parameters, pending their approval:

3000 point CMBB meeting engagement
July of '44
All regions combined
Force mix: unrestricted
Nationality: unrestricted
Quality: unrestricted
Imported map
Dawn
Warm
Overcast
Breeze
33+ turns

Each player will pick a number between 1-20 and send it to me. The number closest to mine gets to choose Allies or Axis. I have already chosen and mailed out the map.

Fans are already clamoring for tickets - and it looks like the girl in front is pulling for the Nazis!

All regions combined
Force mix: unrestricted
Nationality: unrestricted
Quality: unrestricted
Imported map
Dawn
Warm
Overcast
Breeze
33+ turns

Each player will pick a number between 1-20 and send it to me. The number closest to mine gets to choose Allies or Axis. I have already chosen and mailed out the map.

Fans are already clamoring for tickets - and it looks like the girl in front is pulling for the Nazis!
