Hi Guys,
I am back after a long absence and have download CMAK, CMBB and CMBO from Steam.

How do I email may saved PBEM files to muy oppenent ?

As when I do so all they get is a wall of text not a save game file.

CMRT doesn't recognize incoming email file

Good afternoon,

I'm running into a problem with CMRT. When I drop the file into my incoming email folder, CM doesn't recognize the file for some reason. I placed it in the saved game folder just incase and nothing there. When I create a game, the file shows up perfect in the outgoing folder. In the past, I've played a ton of CM2 games without experiencing this problem. Its been a few years since I last played, but I don't think my folder structure / install of CM2 has changed. I have V4 of the CM engine so that should be good. Don't know what to make of it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

CMBB on a 4k display

I have setup my combat mission man-cave. In case anyone is wondering the optimal resolution that I have found so far is 2048 x 1536. And that is on a 75" 4K monitor. Even works great with a 1,100 watt eight speaker surround sound system.

This took a lot of trial, and mostly error (for me), so I hope someone else might also benefit. Let me know if you have any questions.

W1O unhandled exception error with CMAK

Hello fellow gamers:
After many years of trouble free CMAK on windows 10, I am now getting intermittent "Unhandled Exception" errors.
Anyone got any experience in solving this?

I have tried many things to try and fix this:
Clean boot, removed and reinstalled NetFramework files, removed and installed CMAK game, ran numerous anti-virus and hardware testing utilities.
I did find this log file pertaining to the crash - Double Dutch to me - lol

WIN10 and CM:AK / CM:BB

I re-installed both games on a new computer and have problems to run these games.

CM:AK loads but still shows V1.01 after installing the V1.03 patch. CM:BB does not start at all. Both games are German CDV versions, not the Battlefront versions.

I tried to install the CM:BB demo version and it runs fine.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Glitch: Tank stuck while loading riders

Weird glitch...tank becomes stuck, it is not bogged or anything, it is perfectly fine, just won't follow orders to move ... in this case it seemed to have happen while loading tank riders ... 8 of 11 infantry guys are on the tank not sure where the missing 3 went (the unit icon is dim) but tank won't move presumably until they finish loading and the guys on the tank I can't select to get orders to get off! It has been like this for around 6+ turns so far.

This has happened before, very frustrating as it is basically a pill box. Surely someone else must have had a similar thing happen to them.

Update: Tank seem to have cleared itself but one infantry guy magically teleported way behing enemy lines

Old CM x1 games and Windows 7

Hi all,

Been missing the good old days of playing CM x1 as im not to taken with the newer CM x2 games (although they are good they just play differently). I have a question about the older titles and more modern OS.

Will the older CD versions of the games play on Windows 7? I seem to remember trying them on XP and having troubles (random crashes and resolution issues), so before i go on an adventure into the loft looking for them thought id ask the guys who still play. :-)

As another thought are the new digital download versions from Battlefront different in any way and are they a better choice for newer systems?

CMBB: can't see!

My CMBB has suddenly (yesterday) started giving me a map "horizon" about 950m. from the bottom of the screen. This is not happening with CMAK, and pulling all the way up to maximum height will allow me to see the entire map, just too small to use. Any suggestions as to how to correct? Re-install everything?

Still on an XP machine.

I think this has probably been dealt with, but I am just now upgrading to Windows 7 & need some help please:

1. How do I get rid of the black boxes that appear in the upper right of the game screen? See attached image.

2. How do I launch the game without the game disk in my drive?

3. How do I disable the explosion sound when I close the game?

Hey,

I finally decided to take over this game. So far so good, but...

really, if I shut down the game to continue a scenario another day I can´t do this? All the saves are wiped out once I close the program?! I´m supposed to play the whole scenario on one sit??!!

Or am I missing something?

Facman vs Schwerpunkt Problem

Jody and I are scheduled to play in the Hurrah Tournament. Jody has done the set up and sent it to me, however, when I try to enter the scenario, I get an error stating that we have different CMBB versions. We both checked and have 1.03. Neither one of us have this problem with other players and I am playing the same scenario with another player without issue.

Hi everybody. I am new of CM. Actually a Campaign Series player so far, but now I purchased a collection of the three games CMBO, CMBB and CMDAK, I tried to download all the possible CMBB scn from the club archive and now I have some 430 .cme and .cmf files into my 'Scenarios' folder in the game Directory, but apparently I can see only a barely hundred when I open the 'choose a scn' window of the game..so now I have some question and would be grateful to anybody who'd give me an answer.
Why I cannot see all the scn I downloaded into my game directory?
What the difference betwee a .cme and a .cmf file?
The scn in the CMDAK archive of the club seems to be mixed CMDAK and CMBO..is it so?
