The notes only have a description for the _01 version of this scenario, can I assume everything is the same for the _02 GER PLAYER and _03 VAR1 versions?

I think a good breakdown would be to have 2 Germans vs. 4 Russians, I realize this might slow things down some (perfect for me as I could probably get my moves done in one sitting) but I like the idea of having more people involved.
