Can WDS games be played on an iPad?

There was some chat on the PzC forum that one of the designers Dave Blackburn was working on a way to play on an IPad, however with his sad passing I am not sure if the project was shelved??

I have not played them.
But at some stage there were some early JTS ipad titles available.
They would be old and not updated like the new games are with WDS though.
