First AAR - First Blitzkrieg - The Fall of the Netherlands
So far this my third attempt to post an AAR.

Do you have to have a higher post count or some other permissions?

RE: First AAR
This AAR is inspired by gwgardner AAR.

I'll be playing against the Allied AI in.

101: The Fall of the Netherlands

5 turns

The Netherlands - 10th May 1940: While much of the attention of the German assault on the Western Front was focused on the fighting in Belgium, including the first use of airborne troops at the Forts of Eben Emael. However, little known, but significant German airborne operations were mounted to assault "Fortress Holland". This task fell to the German 18th Army and the air forces of the Luftwaffe. A large bomber force struck Rotterdam on the 14th of May, after which, the Netherlands surrendered and the Dutch Royal Family evacuated to England. Will this be a Dutch side show or can the Dutch hold out long enough to affect the battles raging in Belgium and win the Dutch a pyrrhic victory?

Here is the starting positions.

It is a tougher game to play effectively than Panzer Campaigns. Thanks for sharing it with us.

During turn 3.

This is how not to attack a fortified postion.

One major enhancement that the Strategic series of games is showing the actual turn number, just like how all the other series do (Panzer Battles, Panzer Campaigns, Napoleonic War, ACW, EAW, etc.).

For example the Command Report should also show besides the date, Turn 1 of 8 or Turn 3 of 8, etc. Also, on the bottom in the status bar this same info should also show.

RE: First AAR - First Blitzkrieg - The Fall of the Netherlands
So in this regard the Strategic series is lacking consistency with the other series.

Also missing on the menu bar is a quick and easy way to re-display the Command Report. In all other series you can redisplay this info by clicking on the menu "Info | Last Command Report" which is missing in the Strategic series.
