Waterloo expansion pack
Hi guys,

I'm going to install the JTS Waterloo free expansion pack. But I'm not 100% sure how to do it. I'm going to unpack all the files (.map ; .oob ; .scn ; .ptd ) in the game root directory.

Is it correct ?

I'd prefer not messing up with my current ongoing campaign as I'm badly kicking some Prussian-British a$$e$ near Ligny Whip Whip  Whip

Thanks in advance :-)

RE: Waterloo expansion pack
If you bought your game directly from JTS and you updated your game to v1.07, from the update page, then you already have the Waterloo Expansion Pack.

It states this at the very top of the Change file found here:

http://johntillersoftware.com/updates/Waterloo_107.txt

Changes for Campaign Waterloo 1.07
   - Added Magnified 2D view (View menu, mouse wheel, or hot key '5').
   - Includes the Waterloo Expansion Package

So you are good to go!   Thumbs Up

That is why Waterloo has always been a favorite of mine as you get so much extra bang-for-your-buck, with this title.

To find what version you have, once you open the game, go to the far right menu located above the game map and select "Help".

Next , select "About" and you will see this screen.

RE: Waterloo expansion pack
Is this new feature available on all JPS games ? or only on all Napo games ? or just on Waterloo ?
In fact when you mentioned that earlier to me I misread your message. I thought it was a new zoom view on the 3D so I thought I already had it. And I was enoyed by the lack of zoom on the 2D view. So this is definitely great news !!

The magnified 2D view is found in most JTS games (I don't own every game/series).

I know for sure they are in all EAW, ACW, NAP, PzC, and MC series.

PzB & SB don't specifically say they have 2D zoom however, those stock 2D hex-sized graphics were always larger than the above listed series stock 2D graphics, so you should have no issue with them.

Not sure on the Musket & Pike series and I believe the Naval Campaigns don't have any magnified 2D view.

RE: Waterloo expansion pack
Thanks for this.
I still want to buy at least one or two Napo games (Russia and one more) and I also want a WW2 eastern front game, probably at campaign level but not sure (Stalingrad or Moscow 42). I also have squad modern war and played a few games and really like ot too.
But I'm REALLY enjoying this Waterloo campaign. It really feel like I'm on the battlefield !
