Rounded Counter Mod
Thought I'd share a little change I've made to the counters (not that the original ones aren't good) ....

A picture (or two) says a thousand words:

I've made seperate versions for Battles of Kursk, Battles of Normandy and the demo I do not own the Kursk game I beleive i've been able to summise the structure - if it's wrong please let me know so I can make changes accordingly.

Pleas also note that included with this mod are changes to the "symbols" files which incorporates, alongside a few minor changes of my own, some siginificant changes that have been either lifted directly, or in significant part, from mods created by other members of theblitz.club message board, including Wiggum, Strela, Hadge, Pinetree and quite possibly others.
Full credit must go to all for their efforts.

Installation:

It is highly recommended to use JSGME with this mod to enable easy switching back to the original on demand. Just extract this mods zip file into the JSGME 'MODS' folder and then activate from the mod list.

Otherwise copy the files into the relevant directorys and overwrite the exisiting files (after making a backup of the originals).

One comment I'd like to make is to just how good the original counter artwotk is considering the constraints of the engine and graphics resolution.  It's been quite a challange to do the little I've managed  The WDS team must be strongly congratulated on the fine work they've manage to achieve - and long may they continue to do so.

BTW the second image above shows a map mod which I'm still working on but should be able to post in a few days time.

Cheers
Richard

Hi RichG. Very nice counter mod! Great stuff. I wonder if you managed to finish you terrain mod (for Kursk)? I like that so much, I might consider buying PB Normandy too. (Currently I own Kursk).

I think you terrain mod example is much nicer that the stock one (sorry dev's). The stock one is to dark for my taste.
