I was a beta tester for FoG2. Early issues for me was that my low end older Dell system would not run the program at a decent speed. Based on my input and from others they added in options to allow the user to turn off some of the graphics animations. For me it was overkill on graphics anyway. You can see the blades of grass ... go figure.

The images are lovely. Crave a game that works, is accurate, has good combat results (not based on so much luck like FOG 1 was). I do not own the game yet but its on my list.

Is FoG1 a game on the ladder yet?

FOG1 is not on the ladder yet i think, i contacted an admin for adding FOG2 but they found the interest to the game in the club quite low and they are right i guess.

I hope they change their mind. The game has a huge following and it would mean that we might have more members join The Blitz and other clubs that might support it.

RE: Field of Glory II (FoG II)
The graphics are very resource intensive. I suspect there's no excuse for it, as games which are really slick on graphics run much easier on my RTX 2070 card (DCS, for example). FOG2, however, boots the card into noisy overdrive, it's having to do so much work. This means I could never run it on my laptop (which also had an Nvidia card) without the laptop heating up like a fire. So I imagine you need to really turn the graphics down to run it on lower end systems (as Sgt Rock suggests) , and even then it might be tough. The graphics are way over the top for what it is, I think, and don't add much. The maps are very generic, if you're used to 'historically accurate' maps. Gameplay, however, is smooth and fun.
