Berlin 1946
Hello Gentlemen:

Just so you don't think I neglect the Eastern Front, I submit my Berlin scenario.

It's hypothetical, and a fair fight.
Brutal actually.
Berlin 1946
Russians vs. Germans...no Western Allies...

If you think you have what it takes to invade Berlin, this is your scenario.

Regards,

Dan

Geez Dan,

With your last few posts you must be bucking for a monster scenario generation medal.

Scud do we have such a thingy??

Love the map Dan. Feel like I'm looking at Berlin from the back of a Canada Goose. Nicely done my friend!

You even have the Hungarians in there too, nice touch! Assume Budapest was lost so they decided to fight on in Berlin, right? Ok that's kinda cool.

Flak Towers, those things were bad ass and caused the Soviets fits in the real battle. Nice to have them there. Wonder how it will be on the receiving end of those. Guess I might have to try.

Thanks for sharing this one too!

If I have questions I'll send you a PM.

Cheers!

RE: Berlin 1946
Hey John...it's even playable vs. the AI if one is so inclined.
The Germans don't have to do a whole lot of maneuvering, (one of) the AI's weakness's, and it plays well.

H2H?... it's going to require tenacity, grit, resolve, and tequila.

I played VonTirpitz and you're quite correct...he did NOT enjoy those flak towers...nope...no way...nada...negatory ghost rider...wave off!...;O)

Then again, when he finally assembled a battalion of IS-2m's and started chain firing it direct mode, it was just about like any other pillbox. It burned just fine. The flak towers of Berlin had those monster electrically aimed AA guns, 128mm's? These new(er) Fortress units (with organic firepower) they have for the Russians would serve better as a flak tower but I didn't know they existed when I laid this out. I'm not sure the Germans even have an equivalent unit? In any case, it works as is.

I've had a couple of these scenarios laying around for years, finally decided it was time to get them out there and see if anyone is interested.
