British and American testing of captured Panther, Tiger
I wish there was more explanation along with the video, especially the part showing AT gun damage to the Tiger.   6-pounder?  17-pounder?

RE: British and American testing of captured Panther, Tiger
The vehicle firing on the Tiger 1 appears to be an Archer, which was armed with the 17lbd'er gun.

nice video also. Thanks.

Whenever see these damaged heavy Axis tanks reminds me of the frontal damage to the jadgTiger which was at Aberdeen for many years. US used it for testing at one time and the frontal armor has a nice shell mark on the lower L/frontal part, but nowhere near enough to penetrate. The curator told me many years ago when went there the 1st time that 'think" it was a 90mm US gun they were testing vs it.
