News  Coming Soon, English version of Cold War
Just finishing up, but seems to work fine, so no more having to figure out what everything is saying!! Now, drawback is no more music or ads, but I think it is worth it. Will post the exe's up here after I check it out a few more days!

OMG, good news Mike!

I find it amazing that all that German could be translated that fast especially with all the units in the game. Seems like we only starting talking about an English version two months ago.

Can't wait to see it!

cheers

Well, the units are still in German, am going to tackle that as well, Bulgaria is in English!! But all the in-game menu's and such that were in German are English now. Battle results, menu bar at top of screen, you know. I'll get to the units soon enough though, not too bad, just time consuming!

No problem, i can understand that. German isn´t easy for other countries.

My english is also not perfect, some of your special words i must look until today.

Step by step, i will translate the scenario briefings for the coming uploaded games into english.

You make a great job!

As a compromise, I suggest we translate everything into Finnish, instead. Kylmä Sota Eurooppa, anyone?

Wow that is fantastic news Warhorse! I had been thinking of translating the unittext file into english, then I see this thread! Big Grin

This should really help to draw some more folks into Cold War.

Haha - nice try, Petri.

RE: Coming Soon, English version of Cold War
That could be interesting Mike! Given Finland's 'buy 50% from East, 50% from West' policy of the time, it would mean Comets, Charioteers, Leopards and T-54s, T-55s, T-72s. Saab Drakens and Mig 21s, ...
