Thumbs_Up  Korean Mod - Fantastic Fun!
Gents: Smoke7

I've been having a lot of fun playing Mike's (Warhorse) Korean Mod! Big Grin

Interesting battles... with a lot of World War 2 era equipment and armor... so much will be familiar to CS players!

I did not know a lot about the Korean War "police action," but through this Mod... I am learning about the UN forces and Communists OOB's... and unique battle field settings. "Informative fun?" Idea2

I encourage players to give the Korean Mod a try!

You may download the Mod and patches HERE.

In addition to the stock scenarios, several custom ones have been developed. You may download the custom scenarios HERE.

We also have several Korean Mod scenarios going through H2H Testing!

So, lots of activity underway with this fledgling Korean Mod!

RE: Korean Mod - Fantastic Fun!
I'm very curious about this mod - I've heard nothing but good things about it, but what folder do I install the mod in - EF, WF, or something else?

Thanks for any info. Helmet Smile

John,

Its a stand alone. I downloaded it into JTCS and then extraced it into JTCS after RS finally. I first tried downloading it into RS but that was a mistake because it crashed.

Make sure you have all the updates for it because a few things have changed like graphics and unit stuff.

Best always!

To say it a different way, inside the zip is a folder named Korean War. Extract that folder into your JTCS main folder. Then open (navigate) that folder and find the rising sun.exe file. It will have Korean flags icon, red white and blue. Double click it to start the game. You can also right click and select Send to... Desktop shortcut to create one for starting the game.

RE: Korean Mod - Fantastic Fun!
Thanks guys! When I tested the zip, I just extracted it into Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series, it should then create all the necessary directories to make it ultimately thus;

?\Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series\Korean War RS, where ? is whatever drive you have yours under, or then maybe under Program Files. Some might find it easier to just create an UNZIP folder, under JTCS, extract into that, then drop the newl created game directory into the above Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series. Thanks for your interest!!

RE: Korean Mod - Fantastic Fun!
Big Ivan, Warhorse, Junk2drive, thank you for the info.

I'm going to DL it into my main JTCS folder and send a shortcut of the Korean war mod .exe onto my desktop. Should work ok. Orc
