Need Advice RE: picking up Matrix's Campaign Series
I played EF and WF back in the day, discs got old and lost, been thinking about picking up the Matrix Games set.

That said, the one reason I'm hesitant is the reason I let the original game disappear on me: the absolutely abysmal 3D unit movement speed.

Sooo.. is there an option in the Matrix release to speed up that 3D movement to match the 2D movement?

Thanks...

Under the options menu is a "Fast Computer Player" and "Fast Human Player" that increases the speed in 3D.

When playing PBEM, if you don't watch the replay, you have to uncheck and recheck the human player option again.

Oh yeah, those days were annoying, I believe I just switched to 2d when the enemy did his moves, but now watching 3d with fast moves is entertaining. I know most of the pros on here don't even use the 3d capability but I personally like looking at the battlefield and imaging it as real, and also getting a better idea of terrain and elevation.

The 3d fast move also works very well with TCP/IP game play as well.

I probably wouldn't be playing without the fast move, and I actually use 3d view almost exclusively (except for rear area long distance movement and tactical and operational level organization, orientation, and planning).

3D, fast mode, music off, except for some strange reason when I'm playing Rising Sun. Must be the beat.

No music for me either. Just the background artillery/fire fight sounds.

Same for me.

Although, most of the time I don't have the volume on.
