Hi,

We're looking for 3 WP players for playing: #850610_01_West_Germany_Alt Twilight of the Gods scenario. VM suggested rules.

In the NATO side we're:
Indragnir
Outlaw Josey Wales

So we ask for 2 to 4 experienced players taking on WP juggernaut.

Why? Have you check the scenario?

Maybe he is suggesting that you guys are too good of a team. :conf:

BTW, just a note/suggestion:

That particular scenario recommends that the Nuclear Termination optional rule be used. Whether you use it or not is up to you, but it is more applicable in that campaign than probably any other. It is understood that this rule would give the WP a greater chance at gaining a victory with an effective and intense push to the halfway mark, rather than requiring the game to be played to the very last turn (of course the WP starts with a Major Loss, if they have the same result by the half of the game, then NATO wins, and deserves
to win IMO).

Personally, I would love to play on the WP side myself, but unfortunately I am so busy that that is not a possibility for me. :( So many games, so little time. Maybe one day... its on my list!

Hey Crille et al...I'll be a lamb too, but only if we can find another player or two for the WP team. (Only have limited time available.)

Comrades,

Another player volunteered for the game, he's no LADDER experience on HPS games but he told me he had played DF'85, NGP'85 big campaigns against both human and AI, from both sides, he's also a accomplished Steel Panthers players. He even played as WP using Volcano Man values.

His nick is: Arkan, well he can introduce himself better than me.

Consider it set into stone ;) .Drop me an e-mail when you are ready.

Also, I never played VM's one on this game, this is a diferent beast.
After checking the scenario I want to share with all my fellow players some insights, we like good games so here it is. Notice it's from NATO's point of view.

1) First of all: NATO retreating behind the Wesser = game lost for NATO due VP locations and victory levels.
That was the main strategy played by 90%, latest version of BOTB also fixed that... (in my opinion swing the pendulum too much and makes very hard winning for NATO side. Mmm I'm disgressing)

2) Victory points due casualties have a huge, huge impact on game, it can switch a victory into a defeat. Take into account downing two F-16 would grant 70 VP!

3) Dutch and German quality lowered, also less TIS units (Marder infantry have no TIS)

4) Watch out for LARS and MLRS units.

5) Attack helos are absolute kings due the absence of indirect AA weapons, high attack values, TIS, guided weapons, quality and their high movement value. They can hit and run, truly.

6) All tanks hit hard but have low defense values (not counting on M1, LeoII and brit tanks, those challengers are rock hard). Leo I tanks are paper thin.

7) Watch out for later supply variations, by D+10 WP will be -20% supply from starting values

8) NATO strategies involve only light infanty, nothing comparable to WP AB divisions.
