LOST SOULS
In a genuine attempt to revitalise the CS forum, - where are the lost souls that used to participate in the cs forum long ago?
Why did you disappear and what would bring you back?

RE: LOST SOULS
I come back every year or so, I know I'm not known really, but to be honest I play for usually 6 months then take a break. I just started playing my first game since 2007, and I've been a member since 2001.

You have to face the facts we're dealing a game this is what 13 years old now. The graphics are waining, and new games are on the horizon. I hope with everything I believe in that the series will get a reboot in the future, I mean from scratch, sharper graphics, more fluid interface, etc. The style of play never gets old, only the digital version of it, which will adapt like all games and entertainment as technology progresses.

RE: LOST SOULS
I agree, time has a way of flying by with family, work, work, work,,lolol but although I never can find the time I wish I had I do still love to see a battlefile in the email.
I understand all the "new graphics,,,," whiz bangs and neat stuff out there, and yes this game is 12-- 13 yrs old,,, but one of my other favs is another ,, bit older game,, chess!!

as long as there are all you great guys, friends, opponents,, we will have our game,,

salute to all of you

Chess was a great game in it's day, but it has evolved into wargaming that keeps going. I've always viewed wargames as a newer type of chess game.

RE: LOST SOULS
Yes, I say was simply because this is about the only place I see anybody mention it and it's been years since I have actually met any of the much younger generation that even play it. Even though I enjoyed chess back in the day, it's nowhere near as fun as the wargames we play today or yesterday for that matter. But one thing that will never change is it has been, is now and always will be considered one of the all time great classics. Why? How many other games of similar nature had the attention it commanded back in the day?

RE: LOST SOULS
I splurged and bought a nice computerized set a few years back, since I can't find opponents. One mistake and you're toast with this thing. That's on the easy levels, too.
