I am guessing you mean a unit travelling in T mode and keeping enough MP's back to be able to deploy?

If so you need to click the "save movement cost" button on the toolbar (7th from the left) while you have the unit in question highlighted, that unit will then have [ ] around its MP value to indicate that 1/3 of its MP's have been saved to allow the unit to deploy once the other 2/3 of its MP's have been expended. ;)

It is best to do this before you move the unit to give yourself a better idea how far it can travel in T mode before you have to deploy it.
