RE: Nothing like a dame
I am sure that the proud parents of these young soldiers really appreciate some old letch, with no military background, posting the pics of their daughters on a wargame MB, followed by sexist and off-color comments about these brave and patriotic women.

I see it as a celebration of the diversity of modern armies.

And the sexist and off color comment was a double entendre in classic British style.

Move on.

Do you also see this as a celebration of the "diversity" of modern armies? Do you long to be "embedded" with these gay solidiers?

Oh I see...its ok to be a sexist pig as long as its done in a British way? I would suggest sir ........that sexism in any style is the product of an impoverished mind. The women and men in these pictures deserve respect for their accomplishments....not to be objectified and leered at.

RE: Nothing like a dame
I'm an old veteran, and saw some time with female troops in my day. Most, if not all, were tough and professional, or they wouldn't have gotten into the game.

And I think they like a good-looking guy every bit as much as guys like a good-looking woman! Nothing to be embarrassed about!
(recruiting posters feature heroic, good-looking guys, afterall--and is that ''sexist'' or unusual???)

But I salute our heroic women who choose to serve in uniform! Their sacrifices are just as great as anyone elses!

cheers
