Picking on someone my own size
I'm looking to fight a balanced meeting engagement in the 1970s against someone of my rough rank (I think I'm 136 on the list right now) and experience (low). I'm currently getting wailed on by Matxer and General SP, and would like to fight someone I stand a chance of beating. Big Grin

Wailed on? It does seem half of my forces are destroyed and my soviet troops are curled up into the fetal positons and sucking there thumbs afraid to move! :) I keep telling them the smoke will protect them but they refuse to budge! :)

Only 'cause I have thermals and you don't. My last Tornado flyover showed about twenty tanks, which I think is more than I started with! Very distressing. :)

Seems to me that you have more than a fair change to stop him.
Better than a similar battle in 1990/2000 when he has all the goodies you have and still outnumber you Eek

Probably, I guess. I'd feel cockier if I hadn't just watched an entire platoon of Challengers bouncing shells off the front of a single T-64! Those things are pretty tough, apparently.

The T64 in this game have reactive armor so I am also have been impressed with them. The T80's however have been a disappointment and seem to die too easily. The Challenger must have some serious armor becuase even at point blank range they do not want to die. Nasty things they are :)

Yes, my Challengers are excellent tanks. They have saved my clumbsy noob butt many times. Hurrah for Her Majesty's armor!

Hello PK,

Well, I might not be your size, but I have a gentle heart.. how about if we play a game that is off- ladder, and perhaps I can coach you up a little..

I like games from the 70's... not so much techno geek stuff..

Shoot me an e-mail if you are interested..

It is coming to look like those who are "my size" are "my size" because they don't like to play. :) I'm getting good instruction from Matxer, but I can always use more. I'll e-mail you about it tonight.

I'm happy to do it on the ladder, though. If I understand scoring correctly, even losses will help to build up my infamy. And say I actually get lucky and beat you; how mad at myself would I be that I'd denyed myseld a moment of relative glory? ;)
