Gentlemen,

Just a short reminder:

Rules of Engagements para 6: Active & Inactive Ladder Status

...Players who have not reported a game within a year of their last game report are considered inactive. Their scores are maintained in our data base as an inactive member account...

In order to return to active status one doesn't have to register new account, please contact Ladder Custodians and you'll be moved to the active status.

there's no demo for the matrix CS game.

All I can say is if you liked the CS games before, it's only getting better as the Beta brigade puts out more and more new stuff. There's lots more units available now and some interesting changes in how some things happen such as assaults and hidden shooters.
We're preparing to release a new patch in February (tentative date here so don't hold me liable) as well, with even more changes and fixes that should make most if not all gamers even happier. :)

One clarification: even if a player is in inactive status one is still able to report games, which automatically will move you back to the active ladder
