Hi Jim ( or do you prefer James?). I would suggest you get a mentor to teach you the ropes buddy. General SP will be sending you a letter if he hasn't already with the scoop on the Blitz. If you are looking for a mentor to teach you with out feeding on you let me know and we can set you up.

Chris.

RE: new kid on block looking for opponents
Greetings!
Just want to say welcome. As a new player myself, completing my first round of boot camp games, I think you'll agree that you have found a great club here. All of my first contacts have been great, and I feel very welcomed.
Best of luck, keif.

Ok, just let me know what flavor of game you are looking at. Do you want help with WAW Ehanced, winWW2, SP H2H, or winMBT?

i have both free versions from shrapnel games of winsp and winspwwii both are updated. i dont know however how that affect the types of games i'll be allowed to play since they are not the retail versions...but you can send what ever pbem files to me via email of course....ready to fight...right now i really dont care about the game or sides since i've never pbem for either game, i really just want a human opponent lol and see how it goes. been playing the AI for bout 10 years now on and off lol.

Hello ElGato,

Welcome to the club.. have you had any takers for a game yet? - I have some winww2 room..

Watch out for those humans.. they are a crafty bunch, and are prone to doing the completely unexpected, where the AI usually does the completely foolish.. LOL

Talk to you later..

RE: new kid on block looking for opponents
Sorry for the delay Jim, I haven't been able to get on to the blitz in the last few days, and we had a HUGE wind storm yesterday which kicked the crap out of us!.

Ok, why don't you and Jason (Sgt Walrus) tee up for a mentor game. Jason is probably the most experienced when it comes to that version since he did beta testing on it.

Ask TONS of questions; what you are doing right, wrong, sort of ok. What units work best in a situation etc. Also the finer points of setting up a PBEM game and what the standard rules most players use are.
