Rommel takes the Suez
I was attempting to play Dans scenario. But it seems I must be missing a file to be able to open the turn. What happens is I open the turn sent me When I choose the no replay button It begins to unload the turn but kicks me out and sends me back to desktop.
I have a powerful processer, 16gb of ram. Gaming computer with a geforce grafics card. Both players got the download from the same source. So thats why i believe i might be missing some file that will allow the turn to open. I ccan open all other scenarios large and small. So it has to be something particular with this scenario needing a file i dont have in my game files. I do have IOBits malware program running or is it a windows issue.
Any ideas??

RE: Rommel takes the Suez
Hello Zap:
I just downloaded the game files fresh and they seem to be working correctly.
Remember the Allies have a "weird" first turn where they have a chance to set OP fire before the Germans go.
I would attach it here but I'm old and will screw it up...get it from the scenario downloads Zap...;)
Regards,
Dan

Hi Dan, its not your download. In the past certain scenarios had units that needed a certain file. For it to work in my game. I just need to identify what file my game file is in need of. I can only get as far as open the game but it acts like it is gathering the files but i dont get a map or error messages. after acouple secounds it sends me back to my desktop. Im guessing your scenario has a large variety of units.
I cant get to the strange turn you described for the allies. It wont let me get that far.
If I could identify the file im missing, i would ask someone to send me the file.

So out of curiosity , took the org file out of the scenario. The scenario loaded, of course no org. file. Despite , the powerful processor, 32 of ram, and a grafic card (geoforce). My computer could not open the scenario . Stumps me as to why?

RE: Rommel takes the Suez
Hi Zap,
I downloaded the scenario from the d-base.
I opened the file and selected manual for both sides.
I played the first two turns and had no issues.
I wish you luck solving this issue.

RE: Rommel takes the Suez
Update: Looks like a newer more powerful computer was the answer. SSD drive, with a good graphic card helps. Found out my old computer even though Powerful for its day for whatever reason could not handle the beast of a scenario Dan has put out. Dan's scenario, move along quickly in the new computer.
