WDS Panzer Campaigns vs Panzer Battles

Feedback Needed  WDS Panzer Campaigns vs Panzer Battles
Hooray, Christmas is here once again, and WDS is having their annual sale.

I want to expand my ownership of Panzer-related titles, but I am a bit confused.  On the WDS website under the heading 'Panzer Campaigns', there is a title 'Normandy '44 Gold'.  This title includes the following battles:

Utah Beach
Omaha Beach
Gold Beach
Juno Beach
Sword Beach
American Sector
British Sector
Buron
Caumont
Villers Bocage
Carentan
Cherbourg
Epsom

But also, on the WDS website there is another section entitled 'Panzer Battles' which includes a title, 'Normandy'.  This title includes the following:

June 6th; D-Day Landings 14 scenarios
June 7th; Hitlerjugend's counterattack 2 scenarios

June 11th; Operation Perch 3 scenarios

June 13th; Villers Bocage 2 scenarios

June 13th to June 14th; Carentan 2 scenarios

June 22nd; Cherbourg 3 scenarios

June 25th; Operation Martlet 2 scenarios

June 26th to June 29th; Operation Epsom 4 scenarios

July 4th; Operation Windsor 1 scenario

July 11th; St Lo 4 scenarios

July 18th to July 19th; Operation Goodwood 6 scenarios

July 25th; Operation Spring 2 scenarios

July 26th to July 29th; Operation Cobra 3 scenarios

July 30th to August 5th; Operation Bluecoat 7 scenarios

August 7th to August 8th; Operation Lüttich 3 scenarios

August 8th to August 9th; Operation Totalize 4 scenarios

August 11th to August 12th; US 3rd Army breakout 2 scenarios

August 19th; Falaise gap 1 scenario

4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards Campaign 5 scenarios

2nd Armored Division (US) Campaign 18 scenarios

So there appears to be some overlap in coverage, even though the map scale and turn time is different.

I would be interested to hear the opinions of more experienced Panzer battlers about whether I should purchase both, or whether just one would suffice, and in that case, which one?

Also, is there anything significant about the inclusion of the word 'Gold' in some of the WDS titles?

These are two different series: Panzer Campaigns (Normandy '44 gold) and Panzer Battles (Battles in Normandy). The Panzer Campaigns series are generally company - battalion level at 1 km per hex, and the Panzer Battles series is platoon at 250 meters per hex.

So both are different in scale and how they play out.

RE: WDS Panzer Campaigns vs Panzer Battles
Since I greatly prefer to battle human opponents rather than the AI, I wonder which of these titles (Campaign Normandy or Normandy Battles) would be likely to have a larger human player community.
Any thoughts?

Well there is 32 Panzer Campaign series games and 6 Modern Campaigns (close cousin) and 3 First World War Campaigns (distant cousin) and only 4 (counting the demo) Panzer Battles games in that series your going to probably find more folks that own or play Panzer Campaigns then Panzer Battles, but it comes down to preferences really.

I do enjoy the PzC, but am not that much into them as I am the MC series, but I really dig the PzB series, because of a number of reasons, mainly the ranged combat for units, since its a platoon level game.

So it comes down to what you want to get out of it, based on what your saying so far, it sounds like you might be more inclined towards the PzC series as there are probably more folks owning those titles to play with. Check the Discord channel too. There is a big selection of opponents wanted for all titles. Sadly the PzB is not as popular mainly because there is only 3 titles, I think if they had a Bulge and Market Garden one then there would be more folks playing the PzB series. I do know there are several new titles in development for the PzB series.

PzC has had a big headstart and hence the 41 total titles.
