Its a cowardly way to attack I know, using a helo swarm, but I'm trying to follow VDV and soviet values/doctrines. Don't worry, once my oil runs out, we'll have our usual meat grinding battle. 

I will say this- The lynx with the cannon is far better than the BMD-1 in a light armour battle, but its still your leopards that have my biggest concern.

Yeah, that was two minutes of while shelling and gun strafing. I usually try to rename the top commander on the field with my name. I am happy to report I'm still alive although my command vehicle is looking a little scrapped off.

So I was trying to time a rolling barrage, but you'll be happy to know that I've inflected more than twice as many casualties on myself than those of enemy action. 

It occurs to me that we've fought on this map before, but it must have been Black Sea, as I remember having some useless bdrm tank destroyers high on the hills of the major objective, and your BTR/BMPs mowing down my hiding infantry in those tree belts. Even my Tunguski section could not hold you back.

I saw some friendly cannon fire from the sky last turn. It is cold comfort that my guys have performed worse than your own helos.

Lol, yes, and I'm sure your troops about 50m away were probably in the splash zone as many body parts went flying. 

I'll be on the lookout for your mini-me, he'll make an excellent prize captive. We have people who will get the secret to making maple vodka out of him, one way or another.

So I think my biggest mistake was offering a cash bonus to the pilots for ever kill they make. I should have specified that its only for enemy kills. 

After the battle, if your willing, could you give me a brief BDA on if my air power is doing anything to your tanks. 
Since VDV don't have access to armour themselves, I'm hoping air power can fill that gap.

Sure the. Air power has been brutal for my infantry - which you already know. The only consolation is they also seem to be tough on your guys too.

I don't have exact numbers, but I think I've lost around a platoon to friendly fire. The effective damage is probably closer to 1.5 platoons worth of firepower and troop coherence. 

I ran a quick test of similar russian airpower on some static Leos. and the most damage done was some optics and minor track damage.  I suspect something similar here.

Yikes - probably my worst showing against you and that's saying something given some of my first battles I was very green and lost spectacularly. Nicely done.
