Colourized pix of 3rd Battalion, 11th Infantry Regiment, 5th US Inf. Div., in Baden, Germany. 7 March 1945
(Colourised by Richard James Molloy from the UK)
New for me as well Weasel, not sure I would like to be driving around in dark European winter in such a distinctive enemy silhouette at that stage of war with just some white stars and USA painted on it :)
Mind you I do like captured war booty Motorcycle in the front HT
And AGAIN I am astounded at what's out there on the internet. The same two Panthers in the original color photo that began this thread, but very shortly after being knocked out as they are still in the middle of the road. If you examine the house you can see the window nearest you is the same, but the far end of the house has been re-modelled in between the photos being taken. In the last photo there's a projecting bit with a window, in the color photo the small projecting portion is gone and you can see where the house has been bricked up.

Another nice photo, almost looks like it was originally in color rather than being re-colored from a black and white. Caption said "Abandoned in central Italy."
