Here's an idea that might help keep people from dropping out and make things "a little more interesting",
Have a buy in of say $15 per person, so for a 20 person tourney that's $300 in the pot. Have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners on both sides. 1st place gets 3 games, 2nd place gets 2 games, and 3rd place gets 1 game. 6 people walk away with prizes and WDS gets $300.

That's an interesting idea. However, due to the potentially international nature of tournaments it would be very complicated to collect payments etc. I don't think theblitz.club is set up for such an endeavor, nor would I want to assume responsibility for fund management.

Also, I am proposing exactly what OJW has been suggesting for months. "I propose that a future tournament will emphasize competition, where a prize is awarded to the entrant with the most Tournament Points on each team at the end of the tournament, i.e., the entrants on the same team compete for the team prize. Since I only have access to two prizes per tournament, the free draw for participating in the tournament would be dropped. "
