Allied Major Victory.

Dog Soldier

Were any of your units north of the Mzha released?

No.  Soviets only had the units south of the Mzha engage. Guards ID took a severe beating and managed to contain the Axis advance inflicting casualties as they could on the enemy. The 350th ID and supporting guns took a severe beating with many units wiped out by the 11th PzD.  Minor skirmishes happened near Zmiyev.  The Soviet T-34s that start with the southern forces lost heavily, but eliminate enough of the 6th PD armor in return to stem any serious threat to the Soviet left flank.
The Soviets barely held onto Sokolovo which if lost would have been only a minor defeat of the Germans.

Iceman played well and ground down the Soviet forces until time ran out.
