I downloaded the gold update and tried unzipping it in the Normandy 44 directory, and it starts and then  pops an error and quits, doesn't finish. I thought it might be because of some mods i had installed so i did a fresh install and the error still happens and the update doesn't finish.

Here's the error text before it closes.
"Can't create output file: d:\ John Tiller Software\ Normandy '44\ Belgian\2DSymbolsLG.bmp "

Always quits at this point. I downloaded and tried it about 5 hours ago
Hi Budd,

That is troubling.

I just tested the file here (the one I uploaded to JTS) and it worked perfectly over a 2.0 Normandy Build.

Can you please try to download directly from here and let me know if you have the same issue?

Thanks,

what i found was there are 0kb country files in the main directory, Belgian, Commonwealth, Poland, Netherlands, which seem to get in the way of the update creating the needed folders. I unzipped the contents of the update and did the copy/paste routine. I renamed those country files in the main directory and the update went through just fine, i don't know if renaming those files will effect the game any but the update finishes and when i start the game and check the version its says the gold version. Haven't played yet.
