What do the symbols on the units mean. For example on a Elephant unit the lower right corner. see the pic below:

The image in the lower right is a shield and tells the player that the unit counts as shielded. this helps in combat and against missile attack. The symbols are explained in the PDF documents 'Getting Started' and 'Rules' manual.
