Question About Online Multiplayer

My cousin also recently bought the Matrix version of the Campaign Series. We used to play head to head over the internet back in the old days, but that was before the use of complicated routers etc.

We tried playing last night but could not get the game working. I'm pretty sure it is a port forwarding issue on my end since I am behind a router. I've been reading about how to port forward on the web, but I don't know which ports I need to open.

Does anybody know what ports need to be opened to get an online game going?

I found an answer on the Matrix forum, but wasn't sure how to interpret it. The answer listed four different options. Here is the link:
