I very rarely play on the stock ones provided in game; I have found the ones put together by the players here to be superior. Sometimes I will take a stock map and edit it to make it more even for both players. One map was really nice but had a big river with 2 crossings on it for the right hand player, not very even in an ME. Quick map edit to delete the river and it was a very good ME map. Walrus still kicked the crap out of my Germans, but a good map none the less.
