Computer - internet issues - sorry for the delays

Good news for all my opponents (or bad, depending on whether you're losing or not :chin: ).

The CD burner and associated software on my mom's machine here seems to be functional. It copied the game files and other stuff to the blank CD without a problem. I can see them on the (formerly) blank CD and everything looks good.

since I was already able to move data *from* my place to here, this basically means I can now move files you guys send me BACK to CD, then take them home, play them, burn the updated file to CD, then bring them back here to e-mail.

It's clumsy, but I think it will work. I was given an eta of 4 days to fix the computer, and the cable company says they can hook me up to the 'net on...Dec. 15th.

***I am going to spend the weekend catching up my turns before I have the computer folks pick up my machine***

(which actually works fine; it just has to be updated to be compatible with the new hardware and software that's out there now, especially the new modems).

I am afraid of doing anything that might jinx this arrangement, so wish me luck. :bow:
